Painting Window Frame Inside

Step: 1 Start your painting project by mixing your paint into a bucket and dipping a quality 2”-2 ½” wide nylon/polyester brush into the paint
TIP! If you are using more than one gallon of paint, combine the containers for better interchanging of colours. This mixing is called “boxing”
Step: 2 Begin painting the inside frame of the window with your brush in hand. Start from the top.
Step: 3 Continue painting the inside frame until it is complete, then let it dry.
TIP! Reload the brush when necessary to maintain a wet edge

The Window Sash

Step: 1 Raise the lower sash and drop the upper sash
Step: 2 With your brush in hand, paint the upper sash beginning with the crossbar
Step: 3 Get down to the lower sash gradually, beginning with the crossbar. Then, repeat the process with the obstructed sash areas
TIP! Do not brush the top or the bottom edges of the window sash because they will be raised, potentially messing up the paint you already completed
Step: 4 Paint the window casing and sills, then let it dry fully.
TIP! For best results in quality of finish and colour, apply a second coat.
